This is an onsite position supporting several Genesis HealthCare affiliated nursing centers as follows: Merry Wood Lodge in Elmore, AL and Magnolia Ridge in Gardendale, AL. We are looking for a People Strategy Partner to lead the charge in making Genesis HealthCare the best place to work in healthcare. Your mission is profound – within a Pod, a small cluster of nursing centers in close proximity as noted above, you will build a culture where people stay because they feel seen, heard, and valued. You will spend 90% of your time on the front lines, driving retention initiatives and reducing turnover by empowering our nursing center leaders to be the best versions of themselves.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant HR experience, ideally in healthcare or a multi-site operational setting.
  • Proven knowledge of HR disciplines including compensation, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment law.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Genesis values into daily actions, acting as a culture coach to help Nursing Home Administrators (NHA) and Department Heads prioritize their people.
  • Dive deep into turnover data to identify reasons for turnover and create actionable strategies to retain talent.
  • Empower Pod Leaders and nursing center leadership through real-time coaching to resolve conflicts and build high-performing teams.
  • Ensure the employee journey is seamless, respectful, and rewarding from the first day of employment through continuous growth.
  • Bridge the gap between corporate HR policies and local nursing center needs, ensuring actions are equitable, compliant, and human-centered.
