The Opportunity As a Senior People Partner, you will be embedded within our Engineering, Product, Design and Marketing teams, working closely with leaders to drive org health, talent strategy, and people programs that move the business forward. This is a unique time for Superhuman, where we have brought together and integrated multiple companies (Grammarly, Coda, Superhuman Mail) into a single AI productivity platform, while building out new products and plans to integrate even more companies. Superhuman is scaling across multiple business units and functions and we operate in a unique model where people partners sit at the intersection of Business Units and centralized functions — acting as true strategic partners, not just HR administrators. We’re looking for a people partner who will own the relationships, context, and judgment to push the business forward proactively, and have the craft to navigate complex situations with speed and care. You’ll be joining a People Partner team that cares deeply about operating at all altitudes: in this role, you will be effective as a strategic partner and as a skilled executor, building foundational systems that scale broadly across the business.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of people partner experience, ideally at scaling companies where you’ve been involved in the build
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-trust relationships quickly across org levels, from ICs to senior leaders
  • Experience supporting Engineering, Product, Design and/or Marketing orgs
  • Strong judgment in navigating complex, sensitive employee situations. You combine speed, structure, and genuine care
  • Experience partnering with other People teams and business partners like Finance and Recruiting
  • Ready to build and figure out the right solutions with cross-functional partners, not just execute processes and programs.
  • Strong business acumen — you can connect people strategy to business outcomes and talk credibly with senior leaders
  • Experience owning talent calibrations, leveling exercises, and performance management end-to-end
  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, and has a track record of operating proactively, not reactively. Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to compensation review processes and pay equity analysis
  • Experience in a compound startup, multi-product company, or post-acquisition environments

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with our C-suite executive team members in driving execution and people strategy for their orgs
  • Build a deep understanding of the business and strong relationships at every altitude (from IC to exec) to coach effectively through a full range of people situations (org design, performance, change management, etc), and push the business forward.
  • Drive the talent strategy that ensures we're building the highest-performing teams in the business, owning talent reviews, calibrations, and performance management end-to-end with a high and consistent bar
  • Collaborate across the People team (L&D, Compensation, Ops) to build and/or run programs or projects (eg. leveling, equity programs, etc)
  • Partner with leaders, finance, and recruiting on translating business priorities into the right team structures and people investment (e.g. headcount planning, enabling hiring processes, etc)

Benefits

  • Excellent health care (including a wide range of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits)
  • Disability and life insurance options
  • 401(k) and RRSP matching
  • Paid parental leave
  • 20 days of paid time off per year
  • 12 days of paid holidays per year
  • two floating holidays per year
  • flexible sick time
  • Generous stipends (including those for caregiving, pet care, wellness, your home office, and more)
  • Annual professional development budget and opportunities
