About The Position

Surglogs is an award-winning software solution digitizing and streamlining regulatory compliance for ambulatory surgery centers and healthcare facilities across the US. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented People Partner to join our team. This role is for someone who enjoys building things and making them better over time, not just following processes but designing and improving them. As a company of around 50 people (20 in the US), your work will directly shape how we grow and how our people experience the company. In this role, you will be the "boots on the ground" for our people operations, handling everything from seamless onboarding to benefits administration and employee relations. You’ll be a primary point of contact for our staff, helping to maintain a positive, compliant, and productive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in a People Partner role (Coordinator or Generalist level).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paychex, Flock, Lever, Checkr, E-verify, Lattice) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with total discretion.
  • High EQ: You can navigate a tough employee relations conversation with empathy and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, TX, CO, TN, OH, PA, and DE labor laws. Must be willing to gain knowledge for other states future employees are hired in.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure our policies stay up-to-date with local and federal labor laws.
  • Lead the orientation process to ensure a warm welcome for new hires and conduct professional exit interviews.
  • Own the end-to-end benefits lifecycle and partner with finance to ensure 100% accuracy in our multi-state payroll processing.
  • Own the day-to-day management of our San Diego office.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all US roles, including job postings, initial screenings, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate team-building events, assist in implementing employee recognition programs, conduct one-on-one meetings with employees.
  • Design, coordinate, and continuously improve Learning & Development activities, including leadership academies, internal training, and skill-building programs.
