About The Position

This role is a unique opportunity for a builder to establish vivenu's first People Partner position in New York. The individual will partner closely with the VP People in Dusseldorf, Germany, to architect and launch this role from scratch. Acting as a trusted on-the-ground anchor for the New York and Tampa teams, the role will collaborate directly with US and Germany-based Leaders in Sales and Customer Experience (CX). It is designed for a pragmatic expert who enjoys driving local people programs while maintaining a sharp, hands-on focus on the US operational and compliance foundation. This is a fully on-site role based in the Manhattan hub.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a dedicated HR Business Partner or People Partner role, ideally within a fast-paced B2B sales environment.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of US employment law, payroll practices, and benefits administration (specifically New York and ideally Florida regulations).
  • Highly tech-savvy and fluent in managing tools like HRIS (Rippling), ATS, Google Suite, and Notion.
  • Active AI user who confidently leverages LLMs to automate administrative friction, accelerate daily workflows, and scale output.
  • Genuine enjoyment of the duality of the role – energized by high-level org design sessions and ensuring flawless internal employment documentation and payroll data updates.
  • Proven track record of resolving sensitive Employee Relations matters with calm judgment and localized legal risk awareness.
  • Willingness and readiness to partially accommodate European time zones for seamless communication with stakeholders in Germany.
  • Excitement and availability for regular domestic travel within the US (to Tampa hub) and international travel to headquarters in Dusseldorf/Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted, commercially-minded, go-to People Partner for US and Germany-based Revenue and CX leaders, understanding business models and commercial challenges to help navigate team dynamics, structure departments for scaling, and equip leaders with tools to lead independently.
  • Seamlessly align and collaborate with the Dusseldorf-based People Team for Germany-specific HR and legal topics, and with the Talent Acquisition Team for a high-velocity hiring experience for Revenue & CX hires.
  • Maintain a regular presence at the Tampa hub to support leaders and teams, and travel periodically to Dusseldorf/Germany headquarters to build ties with the German People Team and European Revenue/CX managers.
  • Drive the end-to-end execution of core people programs within functions, including quarterly performance reviews, calibration cycles, talent assessment frameworks, and leadership enablement programs.
  • Partner proactively with managers to set clear standards, identify underperformance early, and co-create actionable development plans.
  • Serve as an empathetic, go-to people contact for US-based ICs, guiding them through HR queries and sensitive Employee Relations topics with calm judgment and discretion.
  • Manage the complete US employee journey, executing onboarding, offboarding, and transactional lifecycle changes (promotions, salary adjustments).
  • Ensure US compliance foundation, including I-9 verifications, adherence to state labor laws, and regular policy updates.
  • Act as the main payroll and benefits liaison with the PEO (Rippling), ensuring accurate payroll inputs and smooth administration of Health and 401(k) plans.
