The People Partner Manager is a vital part of our People Team, leading a team that provides expert guidance to people leaders and employees and delivers people services based on knowledge of people programs and offerings, local talent, policies and regulatory requirements. The People Partner Manager plays an instrumental role in ensuring effective human resources practices while maintaining and improving our company culture and employee engagement, representing the voice of employees for the geographies/locations they support. This role requires an individual who is people-centric and an effective communicator, skilled in creating a positive and engaging work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • 8+ years in a human resources role including comprehensive knowledge and wide-ranging experience including employee relations and partnering with people managers, with a strong HR generalist background. Experience working with nonexempt hourly/front line population highly preferred.
  • 10% US Travel

  • Tools: Proficient in HR systems including HCM software application suites and ServiceNow HR Service Delivery

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of People Partners that advise managers and support employees on talent actions, organizational changes, talent mobility and development, motivating team members and making decisions aligned to our talent philosophy.
  • Collaborates with Talent Strategy Partners on talent initiatives including providing support and local implementation expertise on organization redesign & restructuring activities, talent, and succession planning. Enables team members with talent strategy insights.
  • Represents the voice of employees, keeping a pulse on and identifying actions related to employee sentiment, talent trends and opportunities in regional and front-line sites.
  • Responsible for employee relations consultancy and compliance including addressing employee concerns, conducting internal investigations, and counseling managers on effective solutions to address performance and workplace issues. Collaborates with regional People Relations & Compliance lead to leverage best practices and Legal to escalate issues as needed.
  • Enables leaders to drive people management efforts including providing guidance on talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, and actions plan to strengthen culture and improve employee engagement.
  • Partners with Centers of Excellence (COEs) on execution of key talent processes and initiatives, based upon regional and service specializations.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve the delivery of employee services including advancing direct access (self-service) and automation.
  • Ensures people compliance programs, policies/procedures, and reporting are implemented locally to ensure adherence to regulations, labor laws, and other applicable workforce compliance matters.
  • Mentors and guides team members and colleagues, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Must be able to work hybrid (3 days in office/2 remote) in Lincolnshire, IL
