Popmenu is looking for a People Ops Generalist who is a critical operational partner within the People Team, owning the full scope of benefits administration, vendor management, HR operations, compliance, and employee support — while never losing sight of the people behind the processes. Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience with significant responsibility for benefits administration and HR operations.
  • Sound knowledge of state-specific employment laws — much of our workforce is remote and we need to comply with all local laws.
  • Experience managing relationships with benefits brokers, insurance carriers, People Operations technology vendors, and third-party administrators.
  • Proven methods for creating engaging programs with strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build trustful relationships at different levels of the organization and proactively manage conflict.
  • Advanced proficiency with HRIS platforms (Gusto, UKG, BambooHR, ADP, Workday, or similar).
  • Outstanding organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Tech-savvy and AI-proficient, with a responsible approach to using AI tools in an People Operations environment where confidentiality, compliance, and human judgment are non-negotiable.

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or CEBS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support quarterly review processes and development programs for high-potential team members.
  • Partner with leaders to coach under performers and support performance improvement efforts.
  • Contribute to talent initiatives that add measurable value to the organization.
  • Ensure both our Atlanta-based and remote workforce feel engaged and supported.
  • Manage onboarding, off-boarding, role changes, and employee records throughout the full team member lifecycle.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data within HRIS and integrated systems.
  • Maintain and update employee policies, procedures, and handbook content.
  • Manage People Operations compliance reporting, audits, and documentation.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, policies, leave, and People Ops processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on routine employee relations matters and build out supporting processes and systems.
  • Support investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee concerns as needed.
  • Assist with accommodation and leave administration in partnership with external vendors and legal guidance.
  • Lead onboarding for new hires to ensure a seamless, culture-forward experience.
  • Create and support innovative culture events and team member engagement initiatives.
  • Champion our core values in day-to-day People Operations work.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and development of the organization through culture efforts.
  • Manage all insurance, FSA/HSA, voluntary, and wellness benefits in partnership with brokers and carriers.
  • Lead annual Open Enrollment planning, communications, testing, and execution.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefit enrollments, deductions, invoices, and eligibility files.
  • Maintain compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage all leaves to ensure compliance with applicable laws and timelines.
  • Analyze benefit utilization and costs, providing recommendations for program improvements and cost containment.
  • Resolve escalated employee benefit issues in partnership with brokers and carriers.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve People Ops workflows, systems, and administrative processes.
  • Use People Ops data and metrics to identify trends, surface insights, and inform decision-making — without losing sight of the people behind the numbers.
  • Create tools and strategies that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the employee lifecycle.
  • Support People Operations initiatives and special projects related to employee experience, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Manage relationships with benefits brokers, insurance carriers, wellness partners, and leave administrators.
  • Oversee service-level expectations, contract renewals, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate vendor implementations, system enhancements, and annual program reviews.
  • Monitor vendor performance and recommend process improvements to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
