About The Position

We're hiring a People Operations Manager to own the people side of Steadily. This role encompasses HR, benefits, onboarding, compliance, office management, and basic IT support. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for resolving issues and will be responsible for building and maintaining systems to ensure smooth operations as the company grows. This is not a checklist-driven role; it requires initiative and the ability to build processes from the ground up.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in People Ops or HR, preferably at a fast-growing company.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, operate with minimal oversight, make sound judgment calls, and build processes from scratch.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and good judgment, with the ability to handle sensitive situations maturely, caringly, and confidentially.
  • Comfort with technology, software, systems, and basic IT tasks like setting up laptops.
  • Low ego and a high level of hustle, with a desire to grow with a rapidly expanding company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an unofficial office IT person.
  • Enjoyment in building playbooks rather than just following them.
  • Preference for variety in daily tasks.
  • Satisfaction derived from highly organized tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage People Operations end-to-end, including employee relations, performance support, leave and accommodations, investigations, documentation, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle from offer letter to offboarding.
  • Develop and implement scalable systems for onboarding, policies, workflows, and documentation to support company growth.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leadership, assisting managers and founders with complex people-related situations, maintaining accountability, and proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Oversee all aspects of employee benefits, including enrollment, employee inquiries, open enrollment, and vendor/broker renewals.
  • Provide first-line IT support, including laptop setup, common troubleshooting, and vendor management for IT issues.
  • Manage licensing for team members, including tracking renewals, continuing education, and deadlines.
  • Ensure the office environment is conducive to productivity and employee satisfaction by managing supplies, catering, furniture, vendors, and general upkeep.
  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing Steadily's culture, fostering an environment where strong individuals enjoy working hard and achieving success together.

Benefits

  • Top of market pay + equity in a high-growth Series C company
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Modern office in Overland Park with snacks
