About The Position

Authentic helps insurance brokers create better insurance products for their clients by providing a technology platform and support. They are looking for a People Operations Associate to support their Dayton office and act as the operational backbone for the people function. This role will handle daily HR tasks such as onboarding, interview scheduling, HR support, office operations, and team events, while also partnering with the Head of People to develop systems that enhance the workplace experience. The position reports to the Head of People.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in people operations, HR, recruiting coordination, or office management
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of juggling multiple priorities without dropping balls
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excited about helping build processes from scratch
  • Tech-savvy and quick to pick up new tools (HRIS, ATS, scheduling tools)
  • Based in Dayton or willing to relocate, and able to be in the Dayton office 5 days a week

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a startup or in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with Greenhouse (our ATS) and ADP (our HRIS)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for our Dayton office, supporting employees with day-to-day questions and operational needs
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires across both offices, ensuring a smooth start from offer signing through their first 90 days
  • Schedule interviews across both offices, partnering with hiring managers, candidates, and recruiters to keep the pipeline moving
  • Approve and reconcile timesheets for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage day-to-day office operations in Dayton, including supplies, vendors, facilities, and the overall workplace experience
  • Coordinate employee events, weekly team lunches, and culture initiatives that strengthen connection across both offices
  • Support candidate experience by helping with logistics, communication, and improvements to the recruiting process
  • Maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS and support people-related data, reporting, and audits
