About The Position

The People Operations Analyst sits at the intersection of employee experience and operational rigor. This role owns a defined set of HR processes end-to-end, including new hire coordination, employee lifecycle events, HRIS transactions, reporting, and People Operations issue resolution. The role works closely with Finance, Legal, and Talent Acquisition and is expected to identify and close operational gaps before they create friction for employees or the business. This role is based in our Raleigh office.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of experience in HR operations, People Operations, or a directly adjacent function.
  • Hands-on HRIS experience, including accurate data entry, employee lifecycle transaction processing, and basic report generation.
  • Active use of AI tools in daily work, such as drafting, research, data synthesis, or reporting, with a demonstrated willingness to keep experimenting.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy or benefits information into clear employee-facing language.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, including making reasonable process decisions when there is no playbook, documenting the approach, and improving it over time.
  • Proven ability to keep multiple concurrent processes moving without losing detail or follow-through.

  • Familiarity with HR compliance requirements across multiple US states, including leave law basics.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employment lifecycle transactions in Workday or an equivalent HRIS, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and leave events. Ensure records are accurate, timely, and complete before payroll cut-off.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding end-to-end, including I-9 verification, system provisioning requests, Day 1 scheduling, and 30-day check-ins. Track completion and escalate blockers before they affect the new hire experience.
  • Support the accuracy of employee data in Workday and maintain recurring People reports. Use AI to accelerate data synthesis, surface anomalies, and flag discrepancies before they compound.
  • Process People Operations Tier 1 and Tier 2 tickets with clear, timely follow-through. Recommend documentation or process improvements that reduce repeat questions and improve the employee experience.
