About The Position

Hut 8 is seeking a detail-oriented People Operations Administrator for a 6-month contract role to support their HR systems migration. The administrator will work with both legacy (Dayforce) and new (Rippling) systems, focusing on data integrity, onboarding, and benefits administration during the transition. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced, high-accuracy environment and enjoys ensuring smooth backend operations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, payroll, or people operations; benefits or HRIS experience is a strong plus.
  • Comfort working in multiple HR systems simultaneously; experience with Dayforce and/or Rippling is a bonus but not required.
  • High attention to detail — you catch errors before they become problems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Discreet and professional handling of confidential employee information.
  • Proactive communicator who flags issues early and follows through.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-state employers.
  • Familiarity with benefits open enrollment or new hire benefits onboarding workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain employee data accurately across Dayforce and Rippling during implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Support data audits and reconciliation between systems to catch and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process employee changes — new hires, terminations, role changes, and pay updates — in both platforms.
  • Assist with building and validating employee records across multiple entities, including Hut 8 Corporate, American Bitcoin, Highrise AI, and others.
  • Initiate pre-hire onboarding tasks including document collection, system access setup, and I-9/E-Verify completion.
  • Track onboarding checklists and follow up with new hires and managers on outstanding items.
  • Assist with offer letter coordination and ensure records are filed accurately in SharePoint.
  • Maintain accurate Pingboard (org chart) data and compile onboarding packages for new hires.
  • Review internal forms and ensure data entry follow-up is complete; keep trackers current and flag missing items.
  • Support Dayforce data integrity and the Rippling transition data audit and clean-up.
  • Enter benefit elections for new hires and qualifying life events into the benefits administration platform.
  • Send benefit welcome emails to new hires with enrollment instructions, deadlines, and carrier contacts.
  • Track enrollment status, follow up on missing elections, and coordinate with brokers and carriers to resolve issues.
  • Assist with payroll administration tasks, audits, and data validation.
  • Support unemployment claims administration, including intake, documentation, deadline tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with document retention requirements.
  • Assist with employment verification requests and other routine People Operations inquiries.
  • Assist with tracking and coordinating immigration cases for current and prospective team members.
  • Maintain the immigration tracker and monitor key deadlines and work authorization expirations.
  • Serve as a point of contact between external immigration counsel, hiring managers, recruiters, and team members.
  • Follow up on open cases and support document collection and case administration.
  • Provide administrative support for People Operations projects and initiatives.
  • Help maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and team resources.

  • Support the People team with special projects during the HRIS migration and stabilization period.
