About The Position

At Mesh, our mission is to enable consumers to pay and be paid with any asset. Today, trillions of dollars in tokenized assets exist but remain largely unusable for everyday commerce. Mesh is bridging this gap by making crypto payments reliable, useful, and ubiquitous. We combine a powerful orchestration engine with a seamless consumer app to unlock liquidity for the world. Backed by leading investors like PayPal Ventures, Paradigm, and Galaxy Ventures, we are building the infrastructure for the next era of the global economy. Join us! Overview Mesh is hiring a People Manager who loves building in high-growth environments and turning complexity into scalable systems. This isn’t a maintenance role — it’s a build, optimize, and elevate opportunity. As we scale from 100 to 200+ employees, you’ll partner closely with leadership to architect and strengthen the foundations that power our growth: performance management, compensation operations, employee relations, global compliance, and core people processes. You’ll operate at both the strategic and hands-on levels — leading a performance cycle one week and redesigning our global onboarding experience the next. If you’re energized by creating structure where it’s needed, raising the bar, and shaping the future of a growing organization, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within high-growth tech startups
  • Proven experience scaling alongside a growing company — you’ve seen (and shaped) what “good” looks like at different stages
  • Deep expertise in performance management and leading thoughtful calibration processes
  • Hands-on experience with compensation benchmarking (multi-geo exposure preferred)
  • Familiarity with equity programs; Carta experience is a plus
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and excited by building from 0 → 1
  • Strong documentation habits and operational rigor — you create clarity, not chaos
  • High judgment, low ego, and a strong sense of ownership

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact performance cycles (mid-year + year-end), including thoughtful calibration
  • Empower managers to deliver clear feedback, navigate tough conversations, and grow their teams
  • Shape and evolve career frameworks (IC + Manager) and support smart, equitable compensation strategies globally
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers — balancing business needs with people-first thinking
  • Navigate employee relations with sound judgment, discretion, and fairness
  • Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless operations across onboarding, offboarding, HRIS, leave, payroll, and policies
  • Partner with external counsel to manage immigration and global work authorization processes
  • Keep us compliant across the US, India, and EU as we scal

Benefits

  • competitive salary and equity that grows as you and the company grow, plus comprehensive health coverage for you and your family
  • unlimited PTO
  • dedicated budget for courses, conferences, and certifications
  • Work from wherever you're most productive with our remote-friendly approach
  • top-tier tools and equipment you need to do exceptional work
