About The Position

This role is a high-impact People Operations leadership position responsible for managing and scaling core HR functions across a fast-growing, mission-driven organization. You will oversee day-to-day HR operations including benefits, leave management, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS administration, compliance, and employee relations. The role requires a strong HR generalist with the ability to implement process improvements, drive consistency, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment. You will partner closely with leadership to shape policies, refine systems, and enhance the overall employee experience. Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with strong generalist expertise.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; HR certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of employee benefits, leave of absence administration, compliance, and employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience with HRIS systems (preferably Rippling) and maintaining accurate HR data.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement structure, and enhance operational consistency.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support employees across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end People Operations functions including employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS management, payroll, and compliance reporting.
  • Continuously identify, design, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability across all HR functions.
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor and subject matter expert to employees and managers, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on policies, benefits, and HR processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance and leadership to ensure accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and optimize HRIS data and reporting to support operational needs and decision-making.
  • Lead strategic initiatives including policy development, total rewards strategy, and the creation of scalable employee programs.
  • Manage compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including HR documentation, employee records, and leave requirements.
