About The Position

Instacart is seeking a People Experience Program Manager to bring structure, automation, and heart to their new hire orientation and performance review programs. This role is crucial for ensuring every new hire feels welcomed and that review cycles run efficiently. The position sits at the intersection of operational excellence and employee experience, with a direct impact on the execution of these key employee lifecycle programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in program management, learning & development, talent development, or a related people/HR function.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional context.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects from inception to completion, even with undefined problems or solutions.
  • Proven experience facilitating learning or orientation content for diverse audiences.
  • Track record of managing vendor relationships end-to-end: procurement, contract renewals, and ongoing partnership management.
  • Located in the SF Bay Area with the ability to support in-person orientation components in the San Francisco office.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with instructional design tools and/or learning management systems.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
  • Experience applying AI to automate or redesign people programs at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure new hire orientation runs smoothly, managing logistics and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee the execution of performance review cycles, meeting timelines and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Document, optimize, and automate processes that previously required significant manual effort.
  • Manage vendor relationships for onboarding, including contracts, SOWs, and budget tracking.
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person orientation components.
  • Contribute to content iteration for orientation, providing operational insights to strategy owners.
