About The Position

We are seeking a People Data Scientist to join JBS at our corporate office in Greeley, Colorado. In this onsite role, you will use machine learning and statistical methods to develop and implement advanced analytics solutions. JBS USA, North America’s largest meat processing company, recognizes the importance of utilizing an analytical approach in its efforts to lead, manage, and protect its people. As the People Data Scientist, you will produce industry advancing software used by locations across North America.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience in an advanced analytics or data science role.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, engineering, etc.) or completion of a master’s program that has a significant quantitative component.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, with a good understanding of advanced statistical concepts like regression analysis.
  • Polished communication skills including the ability to effectively deliver presentations to company leadership.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and common packages such as Pandas.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Experience with modern data engineering practices such as fact and dimension table type.
  • Familiarity with cloud data engineering and analytics systems like Snowflake and DBT.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Driven, constantly striving to accomplish goals.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategic HR analytics tools (e.g., safety and health, turnover, absenteeism, and performance management analytics, etc.), to be used by management enterprise wide.
  • Maintain and develop cloud-based ETL pipelines.
  • Monitor and ensure data quality in HR data systems.
  • Leverage web app development and BI systems to provide analytics products on user-friendly platforms.
  • Frequent research into issues of importance (pay and motivation, retention, engagement, surveys, etc.) to assist leadership in determining policy.
  • Communicate complex concepts to all levels and areas of the organization as a subject matter expert.
  • Other duties as assigned
