About The Position

Tidewater is looking for a People & Culture / Office Coordinator to join our team! This role will be a key resource for talent acquisition, onboarding, employee experience initiatives, and office operations to help create an engaged, productive workplace. The coordinator partners with employees, candidates, vendors, property management, and community organizations to support a positive employee experience, attract top talent, and maintain a professional, welcoming, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing competing priorities with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years’ administrative, recruiting, HR support, or office coordination experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships, influence positive outcomes, resolve problems, and interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and project management skills with the ability to self-direct and prioritize goals and objectives with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with the ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and responsive approach when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing roles and responsibilities.
  • Must maintain a current, valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record to operate company owned vehicles.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge or interest in the human resources field preferred.
  • Experience using Canva graphic design software desired.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the People & Culture team by coordinating interviews, onboarding activities, new hire orientation, training records, and employee programs.
  • Maintains HR records and data systems, ensuring confidentiality, compliance, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Provides administrative and operational support for employee communications, reporting, special projects, and other People & Culture initiatives.
  • Coordinates and supports the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and candidate communications.
  • Uses modern-day conventional and unconventional resources, such as online job boards, social media, career fairs, networking sites, and other channels to identify and source active and passive candidates. Creates and maintains target candidate list for difficult to fill positions and key roles.
  • Establishes community relationships with agencies, schools, job service offices, and other organizations to generate sufficient qualified applicants to fill positions in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company-sponsored events.
  • Create visually engaging communications using Canva and other programs to develop and distribute internal communications, newsletters, announcements, and updates supporting employee engagement and organizational awareness.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the office; welcoming visitors with professionalism while maintaining visitor logs and records.
  • Responsible for office administrative efforts such as overseeing incoming/outgoing mail, maintaining company directories and distribution lists, preparing conference rooms for events and meetings ensuring all accommodations are provided, and has a working knowledge of office equipment, including multifunction printers, copiers, scanners, postage machines, and other office technology.
  • Coordinates office repair requests with property management and vendors.
  • Maintains office organization and cleanliness for general areas including lunchroom offerings and procuring office supplies.
  • Supports the ordering, inventory, and sales tracking for the employee store, including assisting managers with special orders.
