This role involves maintaining an effective recruitment procedure to attract top talent, ensuring high-quality HR procedures aligned with legislative and company policies, and developing contemporary recruitment methods. The position requires providing coaching and mentoring to the team, assisting the Director of Talent & Culture in developing strategic HR plans, and identifying strategies to foster a progressive work culture for employee development and retention. The role also emphasizes fostering Raffles Values and Brand personality, treating employees with respect, building trustful relationships through open communication, and exceeding guest expectations. Operations include designing methods for continuous improvement in service delivery, ensuring staff rules and regulations are communicated and enforced, maintaining employee records and legal documents, preparing personnel reports, analyzing manpower requirements, monitoring industry trends, and inspecting staff facilities. Leadership qualities such as persuasion, motivation, honesty, integrity, ethical behavior, tactfulness, openness, cultural awareness, self-confidence, drive, tenacity, strategic thinking, and acknowledging others' ideas are essential.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education or relevant qualifications in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as same level & 5 years of overall experience preferably in luxury hotel
  • Leadership skills that utilize persuasion and motivation to attain organizational goals
  • Honesty, integrity, ethical behaviour, tactfulness, openness, and cultural awareness.
  • Self-confidence, motivation, drive, and tenacity.
  • Ability to accept responsibility.
  • Ability to think strategically, inductively, and creatively.

  • Oral and written fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an effective recruitment procedure to obtain the best talent in the marketplace at competitive, but responsible remuneration packages.
  • Ensure high quality procedures are in place, which are in line with legislative and company policy governing all the sub-functions of Human Resource Management.
  • Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures & ensure the same by the security team.
  • Develop and implement contemporary recruitment methods to attract top quality candidates appropriate to the position and company needs.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team in order to improve operative efficiency.
  • Assist the Director Of Talent & Culture to develop an annual and long-term Talent & Culture plan that identifies the organization’s Human Resources agenda as a component of the organizations overall Strategic Plan.
  • Identify Human Resources strategies and program requirements needed to maintain a progressive work culture in support of effective recruitment, development, and retention of the employees.

  • Ensure that all Staff In-House Rules and Regulations are communicated, enforced, and reviewed annually.
  • Assist the Director of Talent & Culture to perform the various activities of the department.
  • Responsible for Maintaining and updating employee records, legal documents, policies and procedures and other personnel matters.
  • Prepare and submit periodic personnel reports such as turnover, personnel inventories and recruitment.
  • Analyze the manpower requirement and recommend selection activities to meet the requirement.
  • Monitor present and future trends of local industry situation, legislation and recommend appropriate action.
  • Regularly inspect staff restaurant, locker rooms and locker and other facilities to ensure they are well operated and maintained.
