About The Position

VEIR is seeking a passionate People & Culture Manager to create the environment, systems, and experiences that help exceptional people work together at their best. This role partners across the full employee experience, including onboarding, manager coaching, employee relations, learning and development, culture, engagement, and internal communications. The ideal candidate approaches the People function like a product builder, focusing on listening, identifying opportunities, testing ideas, measuring outcomes, and continuously improving the employee experience. This is a broad role with significant ownership, impact, and visibility, offering the opportunity to move between coaching, facilitating, improving programs, solving complex people challenges, and building new initiatives. The role is designed to grow with the company, with potential to evolve into a Strategic People Partner or specialize in a specific function. This position will be based at VEIR’s headquarters in Woburn, MA.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in People & Culture, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Talent Management, management consulting, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success designing and leading initiatives that improve how organizations develop, engage, or support their people.
  • Ability to move from identifying a problem to designing a solution, measuring its impact, and continuously improving it.
  • Experience partnering with managers and senior leaders to navigate complex people and organizational challenges with sound judgment, strong communication, and a collaborative approach.
  • Experience building people programs, processes, or systems that scale with the business.
  • Ability to introduce the right amount of structure at the right time, without creating unnecessary complexity or bureaucracy.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent experience and demonstrated success are equally valued.
  • Experience in an early-stage, high-growth, or venture-backed company is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, trusting relationships across VEIR and become a go-to resource for employees, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Learn the business, technology, and culture to confidently partner across the organization.
  • Take ownership of core People & Culture programs including onboarding/new hire orientation, performance management, engagement initiatives, and internal communications.
  • Develop a baseline understanding of people metrics, employee feedback, and business priorities to identify areas of impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and recommend practical, high-impact changes.
  • Facilitate meetings, trainings, and employee experiences that strengthen connection and collaboration.
  • Identify potential breaking points in people programs, processes, and systems as the company grows and recommend improvements for scalability.
  • Partner with managers to navigate employee challenges, develop their teams, and build high-performing organizations.
  • Design, launch, or improve People programs that enhance learning, engagement, communication, and/or culture.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve how the company works together.
  • Use employee feedback, organizational data, and observations to continuously refine and improve people practices.
  • Pilot new ideas, define measures of success, gather feedback, and use data to improve the employee experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally to simplify, automate, or redesign key People processes to build scalable systems.
  • Combine strategy and creativity with excellent execution.
  • Strengthen VEIR's culture and help the organization navigate growth.
  • Launch or significantly improve programs with measurable impact on employee experience, manager effectiveness, learning, and engagement.
  • Build scalable People programs, processes, and systems that support the company's growth without unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Introduce programs with measurable outcomes, using data to demonstrate impact and inform future priorities.
  • Anticipate organizational needs, independently lead high-impact initiatives, and help build people practices for successful scaling.
