About The Position

The People & Culture Intern gains practical experience in core People & Culture functions while helping coordinate a meaningful, organized, and engaging student internship experience at Crystal Group. As both participant and contributor to the internship program, this individual supports learning events, student communications, satisfaction surveys, community STEM activities, volunteer opportunities, and company tours across Employee Owned Brands (EOB). The intern works closely with the People & Culture team to bring these experiences to life, gather student feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. The role also provides exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee-owner support, and people processes, along with responsibility for an assigned project determined by business needs and internship learning goals.

Requirements

• Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card, or any individual granted status as a “protected person”).
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communications, or a related field.
• Interest in People & Culture, student engagement, and program coordination.
• Prior professional HR experience is not required.

• Previous internship, HR support, or administrative experience.
• Experience coordinating events, student organizations, volunteer activities, or group projects.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate the student internship program, maintaining an activity calendar, tracking participation, and communicating schedules and expectations.
• Organize intern learning events and professional development activities, including coordinating speakers, meeting spaces, materials, and event logistics.
• Prepare and distribute internship communications, including invitations, reminders, program updates, and follow-up information.
• Help develop and administer intern satisfaction surveys, summarize feedback, and recommend ways to improve the internship experience.
• Gather ideas and feedback from fellow interns and share insights with the People & Culture team.
• Represent Crystal Group alongside company team members at community STEM events, engaging students and sharing information about the company and internship experience.
• Help organize a student volunteer day, coordinating with community partners and internal stakeholders on activities, scheduling, supplies, and participation.
• Organize EOB company tours in partnership with contacts across participating companies, coordinating visit schedules, attendance, travel arrangements, and communications.
• Support recruiting and onboarding activities, such as interview scheduling, candidate communication, preparation of onboarding materials, and welcoming new interns.
• Assist with routine People & Culture documentation, data entry, tracking, and employee communications under team guidance.
• Participate in opportunities to observe and learn about employee-owner support, benefits, payroll, and other People & Culture processes, as appropriate.
• Complete an assigned project, including establishing milestones, providing progress updates, and presenting results and recommendations.
• Maintain confidentiality and deliver timely, professional communication to employee-owners, students, leaders, and community partners.
