About The Position

Performs a variety of data entry, auditing and organizational activities to support the HR department.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience strongly preferred
  • Maintain valid Washington State Driver’s license at all times
  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agreement to agency’s drug free workplace policies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems a plus
  • Knowledge of HR processes and employment laws is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HRIS data
  • Process employee changes including new hires, status updates, and terminations
  • Prepare HR-related documents such as offer letters, onboarding packets, and policy acknowledgments
  • Assist with posting job openings
  • Coordinate background checks and pre-employment paperwork
  • Support new hire orientation and ensure a seamless onboarding experience
  • Help administer benefit enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefit programs and communicate information to employees
  • Monitor and respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries via the shared HR Outlook Inbox
  • Assist in planning HR programs, events, and engagement activities
  • Support internal communication efforts such as announcements, newsletters, and updates
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and policy/documentation updates
  • Track required training and certifications for staff as needed
  • Participate in HR projects and contribute ideas for process improvement
  • Maintain orderly HR systems, workflows, and administrative tasks
  • Provide support to HR team members on various initiatives and special assignments
  • Other duties as assigned
