We’re seeking a highly organized and people-focused People & Culture Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll play an integral part in supporting employees throughout their journey at LAURIN—from recruitment and onboarding to learning, development, and offboarding. Working closely with the Director of People & Culture, you’ll help deliver exceptional employee experiences, maintain efficient HR processes, and contribute to initiatives that foster a positive, supportive, and professionally rewarding workplace.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Human Resources, Recruitment, or People Operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of employment standards legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada. Please note that LAURIN does not provide or assume sponsorship for work permits or visas.
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance (Secret clearance is considered an asset).
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of authorization to work in Canada (e.g., valid work permit or Social Insurance Number). All offers of employment are conditional upon obtaining the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, reference checks, and offer preparation.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment records.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Support hiring managers with interview logistics and recruitment administration.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining talent pipelines for key positions.
  • Coordinate all onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Prepare employment agreements, onboarding packages, and orientation materials.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation sessions and ensure completion of required documentation.
  • Coordinate equipment requests, system access, and onboarding requirements with internal departments.
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and monitor completion of all onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate employee departures, including resignation and termination administration.
  • Conduct and document exit interviews.
  • Ensure completion of offboarding checklists, return of company property, and system access removal.
  • Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs) and required separation documentation.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Maintain employee HR files and ensure records are complete, accurate, and confidential.
  • Prepare employment verification letters and HR-related documentation.
  • Coordinate all logistics for internal training programs, workshops, and learning events.
  • Support the planning and execution of company meetings, professional development/training events, and employee appreciation activities.
