About The Position

Toyota Connected Europe (TCEU) is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and proactive hands-on People Business Partner to serve as the primary point of contact for our newly established Wroclaw office. This is our first People role in Poland and an opportunity to be one of the first employees in the Wroclaw office. The role will be key in building a positive culture and employee experience, supporting local leadership, and establishing policies and processes from the ground up in line with company strategy, and adapting our UK practices to the Polish context, with governance, compliance, and putting people first at the heart of everything we do. The People Business Partner will work closely with managers and employees across the Wroclaw site, collaborating with regional HR teams to support the office through a period of rapid growth. The role requires someone hands-on, who is comfortable working with limited support, who can proactively take ownership in a fast-moving, evolving environment. While this role combines strategic People business partnering with hands-on People Operations responsibilities, requiring both advisory capability and operational excellence, the successful candidate should also be comfortable taking on wider operational tasks, including office management responsibilities, which will form part of their day-to-day responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Several years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Business Partner.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and build structure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Polish labour law and HR best practices.
  • Fluent in Polish and English, both written and spoken.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a growing or newly established office environment is highly desirable, ideally within an international organisation where direction and frameworks are set at regional level but adapted locally.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main HR contact for employees and managers within the Wroclaw office.
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, policies, and other workplace matters.
  • Build trusted relationships with local leadership teams to support business goals and growth.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Create and execute a roadmap to build HR foundations in Poland from the ground up, fully owning delivery from A to Z in alignment with the wider company strategy, with support from the People Manager based in our London office.
  • Design and implement core People policies, processes, and frameworks tailored to a growing local operation, adapting UK practices to the Polish context.
  • Ensure compliance with Polish labour law, GDPR, and internal governance standards in all HR processes.
  • Support the research and introduction of scalable systems, automation, and tools to enable efficient HR operations as the office grows.
  • Support the successful ongoing development of the Wroclaw office, including onboarding processes and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Coordinate with facilities, IT, finance, and operations teams on office and employee-related initiatives.
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruitment teams to support hiring activities and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with the People Advisor (UK) to adapt onboarding processes for local context and take ownership of leading onboarding and integration activities for new employees in Poland.
  • Support performance review cycles, talent development initiatives, and succession planning discussions.
  • Collaborate with the People Development Partner to identify training, development and recognition needs and support the coordination of local learning and recognition opportunities.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters while ensuring compliance, consistency and fairness.
  • Conduct and support investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution where required.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in line with GDPR and company standards and own other People operations activities.
  • Support the design, implementation, and management of local compensation and benefits structures aligned with company philosophy and local market practices.
  • Partner with the London-based People Team to ensure consistent application of reward frameworks, job levelling, and pay review processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers on compensation decisions, ensuring fairness, competitiveness, and compliance.
  • Own relationships with local benefits providers and support continuous improvement of employee value proposition in Poland.
