About The Position

Faire is seeking a People Analytics & AI Specialist who possesses both technical fluency and people-function context. This role will be responsible for owning how People Team data is structured, governed, and utilized, acting as a liaison between the People and IT departments to enable AI-driven work. The ideal candidate understands the complete data-to-decision process and can enhance its speed and reliability, while actively contributing to an AI-augmented People function. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Technical fluency: comfortable working in data environments, able to write or interpret SQL, work with HRIS/HCM systems at a configuration level, and possess sufficient familiarity with data pipelines to collaborate effectively with engineers.
  • AI tool judgment: experience working with or evaluating AI tools in a workflow context, ability to assess fit, scope use cases, and differentiate between time-saving and risk-creating applications.
  • Cross-functional translation: ability to communicate effectively between People Team and IT/engineering discussions, translating needs, priorities, and constraints for both audiences.
  • Structured problem-solving: ability to bring rigor to ambiguous situations, create structure for messy data or process problems, define scope, output, and timelines.
  • Influence without authority: ability to drive progress by building trust, setting clear expectations, and advocating for prioritization, without formal team or budget ownership.

Nice To Haves

  • People function knowledge: understanding of HR data flows (hiring, onboarding, performance, comp, exits) and the questions leaders and HRBPs seek to answer.
  • Awareness of gaps between system data and operational reality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure People Team data is clean, documented, and accessible with clear ownership, defined governance, and a shared understanding of its application to various use cases.
  • Provide business leaders and key People org members with reliable, self-service access to essential metrics such as headcount, attrition, talent pipeline, and org health, reducing reliance on single points of contact.
  • Develop a collaborative model between People and IT for data and AI projects, establishing clear intake, prioritization, and delivery norms.
  • Establish and maintain People data governance standards, including data definitions, audit processes, and documentation, to ensure a trusted source of truth.
  • Monitor integration runs, troubleshoot data syncs, and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for HRIS changes.
  • Develop a clear AI roadmap based on input from People leaders, including a prioritized backlog informed by actual workflow analysis.
  • Support and partner with People team leaders to drive towards an end state where the function is meaningfully augmented by AI tooling, by scoping, building, and developing comprehensive rollout plans.
