We are looking for an Associate People Partner who is passionate about employee relations, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality HR support in a fast-paced environment. The Opportunity As an Associate People Partner, you will serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers across assigned locations. You will support a broad range of human resources functions including employee relations, performance management, compliance, leaves of absence, investigations, onboarding, terminations, policy interpretation, and workforce planning. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with frontline operations, collaborating with leaders, and helping ensure a fair, compliant, and positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Previous HR experience supporting employee relations and frontline employees.
  • Union experience is required, with the ability to effectively support unionized employee populations.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, performance management practices, workplace investigations, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining professionalism and sound judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Workday, ADP, or similar Human Resource Information Systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee-related matters including employee relations concerns, leaves of absence, attendance issues, onboarding, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, injuries, and terminations.
  • Conduct employee investigations, gather witness statements, document findings, and provide recommendations for appropriate next steps.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations and workplace posting requirements.
  • Partner with managers to administer performance management processes, including corrective actions and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and people management best practices.
  • Assist with workforce planning efforts, headcount management, temporary staffing needs, and organizational changes.
  • Support HR audits, reporting, training initiatives, offboarding activities, unemployment claims, EEOC matters, and organizational chart maintenance.
