About The Position

At CAAT, we are seeking a Pension Analyst, Employer Services, to serve as a key point of contact for employers participating in the CAAT Pension Plan. In this role, you will provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to ensure accurate and efficient plan administration. You will also contribute to critical processes such as contribution reconciliation, annual member data collection, and member statement preparation.

Requirements

  • A College Diploma or University Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration, or with an outsourcing service provider; with working knowledge of pension systems, plan texts, and applicable legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employer or client relationships, including resolving issues, delivering presentations, and facilitating training sessions is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to process a wide range of pension transactions, including terminations, retirements, deaths, transfers, buybacks, and year-end statements.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with hands-on experience in data analysis and working with pension contribution files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to manage and interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of assigned employers, providing day-to-day technical support and guidance on plan administration.
  • Build and maintain strong employer relationships through regular check-ins, including monthly status meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Deliver structured education and training sessions to employers to support understanding of plan rules, processes, and tools.
  • Support the reconciliation of pension contributions and perform data analysis to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate on system updates and identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the effectiveness of pension administration workflows.
  • Participate in the annual data collection process and contribute to the preparation and validation of annual member statements.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Employer Services to review service deliverables, controls, and operational processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plan provisions, legislative requirements, and internal policies to ensure accurate and compliant employer support.
