About The Position
This position is responsible for preparing benefit calculations, updating member records, and processing pension benefits, refunds, and death-related cases in accordance with established policies and procedures.

- Must be able to work hybrid in Chicago, IL!
Responsibilities
- Review incoming refund applications and required documentation
- Review and resolve death backlog cases
- Terminate members in the system when a death is reported
- Calculate and process pension benefits and refunds in a timely manner
- Conduct peer review of documentation and Eligibility and Control Reports
- Review disability applications and related documentation
- Perform beneficiary research and mail death benefit applications
- Audit returned documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Communicate with members and beneficiaries to obtain required documentation
- Evaluate legal documentation such as trusts, estates, and Powers of Attorney
- Review death vendor reports and cross-reference for accuracy
- Adhere to plan provisions, policies, and procedures
- Assist department management and team on various projects
