About The Position

Join our rehabilitation team as a Physical Therapist and make a meaningful impact through patient-centered care. We welcome new graduates and are willing to train the right candidate for our team! As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help achieve optimal outcomes. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life. This is a float position; coverage can include all PODs with Pelvic Health staff members (Erie, North Strabane, Delmont, Beaver/New Castle) with most coverage anticipated in the more central regional locations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Must possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer service.
• Active license in practicing state required.
• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Physical Therapist (PT)
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

• Highly preferred pelvic health/lymphedema experience clinically and/or coursework (APTA, Herman and Wallace, Klose, etc)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress
• Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and discharge planning
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education
• Rotate through treatment areas as needed
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development
• May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents
