About The Position

Livingston Regional Hospital, a 114-bed community hospital, is seeking a Pelvic Floor Therapist to join their team. As part of the ScionHealth network, Livingston Regional delivers quality care across a wide range of services, including 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, a Level I neonatal nursery, a 16-bed gero-psych unit, and various specialty services. The hospital serves a five-county area in central Tennessee and southern Kentucky. Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy, required
Current State Physical Therapy License
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer
Able to maintain a high awareness of patient satisfaction and teamwork
Attention to detail
Adaptable to performing well under pressure in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Must be flexible, able to work as needed for appropriate departmental coverage
Basic computer knowledge; become proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Demonstrates proficient time management skills
Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security
Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy modalities

Responsibilities

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Provides educational information to patients regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy, and rehabilitation therapy.
Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.
Interacts professionally with patients/families, treating them with respect and dignity.
Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
Effectively and appropriately communicates with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers, demonstrating customer service excellence.
Performs appropriate patient assessments and reassessments as per policy, including for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric patients, and the general patient population.
Supervises and delegates care provided by certified patient therapy assistants, therapy technicians, therapy aides, students, and other support personnel, assessing competence and delegating tasks according to established regulations and standards.
Administers treatment involving physical agent modalities using equipment such as moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
Plans, prepares, and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction.
Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates its effectiveness, including family in teaching as appropriate.
Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires, and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
