About The Position

Seeking a candidate located in the specified area. This role involves providing senior-level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the Department’s overall systems architecture. The candidate will facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions, including architecting and implementing solutions requiring the integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the Department. Responsibilities include reviewing, advising, and designing standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs vs. benefits, and impact on the enterprise business process and goals. The role also involves developing and documenting the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards, assisting in the development of and managing an architecture governance process, and providing technical guidance to project team areas. A solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies is essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing systems planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software)and optimization.
• Experience in providing senior-level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the Department’s overall systems architecture.
• Experience facilitating the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring the integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the Department.
• Experience reviewing, advising and designing standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs vs. benefits, and impact on the Department's process and goals.
• Experience developing and documenting the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.
• Experience in assisting with the development of and managing an architecture governance process.
• Experience providing technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate.
• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

Nice To Haves

• Able to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida.
• Certified Pega Business Architect (CPBA) certification.
• Pega Business Architecture experience of 7 years or more.
• Experience utilizing Pega Blueprint to facilitate requirements gathering and solution design.
