About The Position

This is a student worker position at the College of DuPage. The Peer Tutor will provide tutoring to COD students in a variety of subjects, offering course-based academic assistance in areas where the tutor has subject-matter proficiency. The role also involves conducting class visits at the start of the semester to promote tutoring services and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
• Proficient in spoken and written English required.
• Demonstrated proficiency (i.e., “A” or “B” grade in course) in courses/subject areas most frequently requested by faculty and students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in spoken and written English required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with online interactive technology (i.e. Zoom) preferred.

Responsibilities

Benefits
