Peer Tutor - Math Active Learning Lab (MALL)

About The Position

The front desk greeter is the first person a student sees when they enter the MALL, and the last person they see when they leave. The front desk greeter warmly welcomes students into the MALL, creating a welcoming environment for them and setting the tone for their study session. They are also responsible for checking students into and out of the MALL. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Requirements

Undergraduate student at UND
Have successfully completed Calculus I (MATH 165), or equivalent
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Nice To Haves

Are pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, or another mathematically intensive field.
Have completed at least one full year of college coursework.
Have successfully completed multiple college-level mathematics courses.
Have successfully completed Calculus II (MATH 166), or equivalent
Have successfully completed courses in one or more of the following subjects: Set Theory & Logic, Discrete Mathematics, Probability & Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
