About The Position

DeCoach Recovery Centre is hiring a Peer Support Specialist for its Mobile Crisis Team in Kettering, Ohio. The role provides peer support to adults experiencing crisis and recovery needs, under clinical supervision as part of a collaborative team. The specialist helps clients feel heard, supported, and hopeful while contributing to their individualized treatment and ongoing recovery. Services are delivered according to each client’s Individual Treatment Plan, as determined by the Treatment Team. Support may include individual, family, and group services, community activities, facility visits, vocational training, and follow-up care. The role also contributes to service improvement and requires accurate documentation and adherence to DeCoach policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Active Ohio Certified Peer Support Specialist certification.
Active Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past three years.
Competence in peer support services.
Working knowledge of substance use and current therapeutic methods.

Responsibilities

Provide peer support services to adults under clinical supervision while meeting quality and productivity standards.
Deliver services outlined in each client’s Individual Treatment Plan as determined by the Treatment Team.
Provide individual, family, and group support, community activities, facility visits, vocational training, and follow-up care.
Partner with administrative staff and team managers to review services, assess needs, and recommend improvements.
Follow documentation procedures and remain current on DeCoach policies and procedures.
