About The Position
The Peer Support Specialist provides peer support, information, and advocacy to individuals diagnosed with a serious and persistent relevant illness, in order to assist them in regaining control over their own lives and recovery process and integrating into the community. They engage with patients hospitalized at UHS Hospitals.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Peer Support Specialist Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide peer support, information, and advocacy to individuals diagnosed with a serious and persistent relevant illness.
- Assist individuals in regaining control over their lives and recovery process.
- Facilitate integration into the community.
- Engage with patients hospitalized at UHS Hospitals.
