This position will work within the Coordinated Opioid Recovery program (CORe) in Hendry and Glades Counties and will primarily work out of Labelle. Services will be provided to adults with opioid and other substance use disorders who have had an overdose reversal with naloxone or acute opioid and substance use and who are ready to begin recovery. Services will be community-based with some services provided in office. This position will work as a part of the interdisciplinary CORe team to partner with EMS (community paramedicine), law enforcement, and the local hospital system to identify individuals in need of services in order to provide seamless continuity of care that supports each individual's recovery journey. The team will also connect with community partners through meetings, informal connections, community fairs, and presentations to expand program reach and build community trust. Provides emotional/informational support for program participants and their families. Assists clients with access to positive social connections and community-based or office-based recovery support services.
