About The Position

SHYAS Health in Salisbury, Charlotte, and Sandford NC is looking for one peer support program manager to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged. The Peer Support Services (PSS) Program Manager is a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist Qualified Professional responsible for the overall clinical, administrative, and operational management of Peer Support Services within the assigned catchment area. This role provides direct supervision and leadership to Peer Support Team Leads, oversees access to care, utilization management, documentation compliance, and ensures the delivery of ethical, person-centered, evidence-based peer support services across the continuum of care. The PSS Program Manager leads program design and implementation, manages intake and authorization processes, monitors service quality and outcomes, and ensures full compliance with Medicaid, LME/MCO, and agency policies. This position plays a critical role in maintaining access to care, meeting productivity targets, supporting staff development, and improving outcomes for individuals served, while modeling advocacy, dignity, respect, and recovery-oriented practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Master's Level QP/Licensed Clinician preferred).
  • Qualified Professional with experience serving the target population.
  • Minimum of two years of management experience.
  • Minimum of two years of peer support experience.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to cultural competence, ethical practice, and recovery-oriented care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all Peer Support intakes, access-to-care processes, authorizations, and service assignments.
  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision to Peer Support Team Leads and monitors staff productivity and documentation quality.
  • Manages treatment protocols, utilization management, and service reviews (30/90 day, concurrent, quarterly, and annual).
  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) and completion of required reports (NC TOPPS, QM, UM, LME/MCO).
  • Leads quality improvement, compliance audits, staff training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintains community and provider relationships and represents the agency in stakeholder meetings.
  • Supports program growth, strategic planning, and achievement of consumer census and billing goals.
