About The Position

Peer Support Recovery Specialist (Crisis) Location: Quincy, IL Department: Clarity Healthcare: Recovery Services Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Monday – Friday Job Summary: Are you passionate about empowering others and making a meaningful impact in your community? Join Centerstone as a Peer Support Specialist and help individuals thrive on their recovery journey! In this role, you’ll use your lived experience to support participants as they develop treatment plans, maintain communication with referral sources, collaborate in staffing to ensure continuity of care, provide crisis support when needed, and promote hope, recovery, and resilience every step of the way. The individual selected for this role will receive full training and will be eligible to pursue certification after one year of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of consistent work history
Valid driver’s license
Must be at least 21 years of age
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
Basic computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in behavioral health or a related field is a plus

Responsibilities

Support, encourage, and model recovery and resilience specific to each individual's needs.
Provide individual or group services with a rehabilitation and recovery focus.
Help individuals manage psychiatric symptoms, utilize natural supports, and enhance community living.
Encourage clients to connect with others and their communities.
Assist individuals in making independent choices and taking an active role in their treatment.
Help individuals identify personal strengths and resources to aid in their recovery.
Support clients in setting and achieving their recovery goals.
