Peer Recovery Support Supervisor
About The Position
The Centers is seeking a Peer Support Supervisor to lead their team of Peer Support Specialists in the Substance Use and Addiction Services Program (SAS). This role is an opportunity to use lived experience with mental health, drugs, or alcohol challenges to guide, mentor, and empower a dedicated SAS team. As Peer Support Supervisor, you'll oversee a team providing emotional and practical support to individuals with substance use disorder. You'll combine your personal recovery journey with leadership expertise to create an environment where both staff and clients can thrive.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree (Bachelor's preferred)
- Certified Peer Support Specialist credential
- Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor credential within 90 days
- CDCA Certification or CDC Licensure within 90 days
- BLS certification
- Valid Ohio driver's license with appropriate insurance
- Lived experience of substance use disorder with demonstrated recovery
- Supervisory or mentorship experience
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a team of Peer Support Specialists within SAS
- Work in collaboration with SAS leadership to develop and implement SUD and PRS programming
- Develop and Coordinate care plans for clients with substance use and behavioral health needs
- Collaborate with mental health professionals, medical staff , and outreach workers.
- Monitor program effectiveness and implement best practices
- Advocate for clients to access affordable, appropriate care
- Connect individuals with community resources and supportive services
