This position supports and promotes a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery-focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma. The role involves responding to crisis line calls, dispatch calls, and community calls for de-escalation or linkage to care. It requires establishing rapport with clients, assessing needs, organizing and delivering face-to-face services, and providing verbal de-escalation. The specialist will advocate for recovery-oriented services, assist consumers in obtaining services that suit their recovery needs, and inform them about community and natural supports. Maintaining strict confidentiality is essential. The role may require working evening or weekend hours, providing coverage for other staff, and potentially client transportation.
