This role supports and promotes a service environment for individuals in need of primary care, behavioral health, and/or co-occurring services. The focus is on creating a recovery-focused, welcoming environment attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma. The specialist will attend annual core competencies training related to individuals with primary care needs or those who have experienced health difficulties. They will establish and maintain professional working relationships with supervisors and peers, working cohesively in team or group settings. The position involves teaching and mentoring the value of recovery experiences, modeling coping techniques, assisting service recipients in articulating recovery goals, and determining objectives to achieve those goals.
