The Peer Recovery & Family Support Specialist provides direct peer support services to individuals and families through a strengths-based, participant-centered, and trauma-informed approach. Services include Peer Recovery Support, Family Support, Kinship Navigation, Resource Navigation, Parent Support, group facilitation, community outreach, and related direct peer service activities. Working under the direction of the Programs & Practice Lead, this position assists participants in identifying goals, strengthening recovery capital and protective factors, navigating systems of care, accessing resources, and increasing overall health, wellness, stability, and self-sufficiency. Through peer recovery support, family strengthening, advocacy, education, and community connection, the Peer Recovery & Family Support Specialist helps participants overcome barriers, strengthen natural supports, and pursue self-directed goals. The position supports individuals and families across a broad range of needs and circumstances while promoting multiple pathways of recovery, healthy family functioning, child well-being, resilience, and meaningful community engagement in alignment with Archways’ mission, values, policies, and approved program models.
