About The Position

Provide outpatient pediatric care for the children of active-duty service members while supporting the health and readiness of military families. You'll care for infants, children, and adolescents alongside an experienced clinical team in a collaborative outpatient setting. At International SOS Government Medical Services, you'll support healthcare programs that improve patient care and operational readiness across the U.S. and internationally. Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school required; foreign degrees must meet equivalency requirements.
  • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited pediatric internship/residency.
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
  • Current BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • 1+ year of full-time pediatric experience within the last 2 years.
  • Ability to use EHR systems and meet military clinic documentation requirements.
  • 2 recent letters of reference within the past 2 years from supervising physicians or hospital administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients under 18, including routine, acute, and chronic conditions.
  • Conduct well-child exams, sports physicals, developmental screenings, and immunizations.
  • Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions, including ADHD, cerebral palsy, birth defects, emotional concerns, and suspected child abuse or neglect.
  • Educate parents and patients on disease management, wellness, and preventive care.
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics; refer to specialists or support programs as needed.
  • Support Family Advocacy Program exams, documentation, and reporting while supervising and mentoring residents, corpsmen, and support personnel.
  • Document care accurately and timely in CHCS, AHLTA, and MHS Genesis while participating in training, staff meetings, quality improvement, and risk management activities.
