About The Position

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group focused on reimagining care for children with special healthcare needs. They provide 24/7 virtual-first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care, collaborating with families, providers, and health plans to improve access to quality care. This role is primarily remote, with an estimated travel of up to 10%. The expected schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm local time. The pediatrician will serve as the anchor physician for Louisiana, focusing on care delivery, team culture, and community presence. This involves clinical leadership, external engagement, brand advocacy, and community outreach, building relationships with families, providers, and organizations. The goal is to help children with complex medical needs thrive at home, avoid unnecessary hospital visits, and stay connected to essential care.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted MD or DO with a Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, and/or Missouri state license.
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics and/or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics.
  • Enrollment in applicable state Medicaid.
  • 5 years post-residency experience.
  • Experience managing children with medical complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a panel of complex pediatric patients, overseeing care plans, collaborating with PCPs and specialists, and ensuring comprehensive care coordination.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, partnering with nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and social workers to provide wraparound care in a virtual-first model.
  • Serve as the face of Imagine Pediatrics, representing the company in external forums, engaging with local medical communities, and advocating for value-based, home-centered care.
  • Deliver high-quality virtual care, including virtual enrollment visits, acute escalations, sick visits, post-hospital follow-ups, and in-home virtual assessments with support from the Mobile Integrated Care team.
  • Ensure continuity of care by bridging care gaps, coordinating prescriptions, and streamlining referrals.
  • Empower families by supporting and educating caregivers navigating complex care needs and long-term health journeys.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
