About The Position
General outpatient pediatrics for a young, healthy, insured population in Temple, Texas. This role is at a large, full-service medical center, a teaching hospital campus with inpatient and outpatient services, on-site imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and a broad multispecialty medical staff. Support is built in, with scheduling, nursing, and ancillary teams handling the administrative load. The patient population is stable, insured, and largely young to middle-aged families and working adults.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license in any state — Texas licensure is not required
- Board certified in Pediatrics (ABP or AOBP)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatrics residency
- One year of pediatric practice within the last three years
Responsibilities
- Provide well-child, preventive, and acute outpatient care from newborn through adolescence
- Manage common chronic pediatric conditions including asthma, ADHD, and obesity
- Perform developmental screening and immunization management
- Counsel families and coordinate specialty referrals
- Document encounters in the electronic health record
