About The Position

This is a part-time opportunity to practice pediatrics in a fast-paced, team-focused urgent care environment. The role involves delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative, child-focused environment while helping expand access to pediatric healthcare beyond traditional office hours. Every shift offers the opportunity to provide reassurance, answers, and expert care during some of the moments families need it most.

Requirements

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
• Board Certified
• PALS
• Current DEA Registration
• Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner

• Experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care
• Comfortable managing acute illnesses and minor injuries independently
• Passion for delivering outstanding care to children and families
• Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Pediatric Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and episodic care for pediatric patients, from infancy through young adulthood.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries in a pediatric urgent care setting.
• Deliver clear communication, education, and reassurance to patients and families.
• Perform procedures including laceration repair, abscess drainage, and foreign body removal.
• Collaborate closely with providers, nursing staff, and operational teams to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within athenaOne EMR.
• Support innovative care delivery models, including telemedicine services.
