As the only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in South Jersey offering pediatric surgical services, the team is equipped to respond quickly to urgent care needs. Cooper treats a wide range of conditions, including hernia repair, appendix removal, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastrointestinal reflux disease.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Active New Jersey medical license
• Completion of an accredited pediatric surgery training program
• NJ medical license
• Board certification in Pediatric surgery

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of complex and routine pediatric conditions.
• Supports Cooper University Health Care’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Advances clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic medicine within the Children’s Regional Hospital.
• Supports the academic, clinical, and educational missions of the program, including creating scholarly work, improving quality metrics, and creating a positive learning environment.
• Builds an active clinical practice, develops areas of productive scholarship, and recruits additional faculty.
• Influences the direction of the program and joins like-minded faculty committed to being at the cutting edge of Pediatric Surgery.
