About The Position

Join our Early Childhood Services in Cambridge /Somerville as Speech Language Pathologist in our Early Intervention program! Our interdisciplinary team supports families with children (0-3 years) who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disorders with a dyadic relationship-based approach. We practice cultural humility as we develop relationships with families, and grow in our understanding of their values, beliefs, priorities, routines, sources of stress, goals and intervention needs. Our over-arching goal is to strengthen the mutual enjoyment of daily activities and interactions between children and their caregivers, while attending to specific delays and challenges. We employ parent support, coaching and education, and, as needed, direct work with children. While attending to all domains of development, the SLP focuses on receptive and expressive communication, language, and feeding aspects of the child’s treatment plan. We are committed to clinical excellence, collaboration, and the process of continual learning. You will be supported by a collaborative, supportive team, participate in weekly team meetings and monthly discipline specific meetings and staff meetings, and weekly reflective supervision.

Requirements

  • Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Experience in Early Intervention
  • Experience with a dyadic relationship-based approach
  • Experience practicing cultural humility
  • Experience with parent support, coaching and education
  • Experience working with children aged 0-3 years
  • Focus on receptive and expressive communication, language, and feeding

Responsibilities
