About The Position

Join our Pediatric Therapy team at Children's Village! Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of a diverse group of dedicated professionals providing comprehensive therapy services to children with developmental delays and disabilities. We incorporate many general and specialty lines of service, offer a strong mentorship program. Our team enjoys the following aspects of working at Children's Village: Serve children ages 3-18 through evidence-based services. Provide in-person services in clinic, and community-based settings, allowing families to receive support where children naturally learn and grow. As part of our Children's Village team, there are ongoing educational opportunities to further develop skills in relationship-based and family-centered practice. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, early childhood educators, nurses, and behavioral therapists to support positive developmental outcomes. Additional compensation available for qualified bilingual candidates. Children's Village is a neurodevelopmental center providing more than 30 specialty services to children with special healthcare needs. Position Summary The Speech Pathologist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, providing clinical services and communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This professional position will allow you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in of speech pathology with all of your patients.

Requirements

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA
Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit
Current BLS Certification required

Nice To Haves

Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations
Perform patient assessments with physician and develop treatment plans
Perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscpic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic of swallowing
Confer with physician and other health care professionals
