The nutrition business specifically develops science-based nutrition products for all ages, with leading brands like Similac® and PediaSure®. This role is for a Pediatric Sales Specialist based in the Tacoma and Olympia, WA area, responsible for promoting, managing, and growing Abbott's Pediatric Nutritional products within hospital and office settings. The territory covers Tacoma, Olympia, WA, and Vancouver, WA, with up to 50% travel and a company car provided. Local candidates are preferred as relocation is not offered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses).
  • Stability and proven success in sales.
  • Subject matter expert and high business acumen.
  • Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19.

  • Knowledge of hospital settings, specifically within pediatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office settings for Similac and PediaSure.
  • Hospital negotiations and contracting.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines, and effectively communicating this information in a selling environment.
  • Executing new product launches.
  • Understanding the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units.
  • Working effectively with Dietitians, Physicians, and Nurses.
  • Managing budgets.
  • Functioning independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
  • Being self-motivated and seeking success in achieving both short- and long-term goals.
