About The Position

Spaulding Rehabilitation Cape Cod is part of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network and Mass General Brigham, providing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The Pediatric Rehabilitation Aide performs routine exercises and follows up on functional activities as direct patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapy assistant. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week onsite role on the day shift at Spaulding OP Pedi Cape Cod. It is eligible for benefits effective the first day of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Good bedside manner.
Good physical strength and stamina for lifting and moving immobile patients.

Nice To Haves

0–1 year of experience working as a rehabilitation aide preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for treatment by the therapist.
Assist therapists during therapy.
Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
Transfer and transport patients safely and in a timely manner.
Maintain equipment and the work area in a clean, orderly condition.
Occasionally cover front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and answering phones.
Conduct monthly inventory.
Make clinic materials as needed.
