About The Position
Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide meaningful, life-changing 1:1 pediatric nursing care for a medically complex pediatric patient in Vernon, NJ. This patient requires around-the-clock skilled nursing support, including tracheostomy, ventilator, and G-J tube care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact while providing high-quality, individualized care in the comfort of the patient's home. We are actively building coverage for a 24/7 case and are seeking dedicated nurses interested in long-term, consistent hours. The case involves a medically complex pediatric patient who is trach and ventilator dependent, requires G-J tube feedings and care, and needs skilled respiratory monitoring and airway management. This is a one-on-one nursing care position in the home setting, offering long-term case with consistent scheduling opportunities and a supportive family and clinical team.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Physical exam within 12 months
- PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
- Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
Nice To Haves
- Experience with trach, ventilator, and G-J tube care preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort, and clinical stability
- Manage and monitor tracheostomy and ventilator support
- Perform trach care, suctioning, and airway management as ordered
- Administer and monitor G-J tube feedings
- Assess respiratory status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the family and pediatric clinical team to ensure continuity of care
