About The Position

The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice focused on prevention and longevity. They bring together a multidisciplinary team of physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care. All care, including primary care, advanced screening and diagnostics, urgent care, specialty care, 24/7 home visits, and imaging, is included in members’ annual fee. Their mission is to make healthspan and lifespan equal for all by translating science into medicine in real-time, while bringing humanity back into health care. This role is part of the founding team for their Los Angeles Institute, responsible for developing clinical operations and maintaining organizational culture and performance standards. The role involves collaboration with various departments to drive excellence. As a pediatric registered nurse at Atria, you will provide personalized, exceptional health care to pediatric members. This includes partnering with pediatricians and advanced care practitioners to deliver preventive, primary, and urgent care both in the home and at the institute. You will perform nursing care activities, build strong relationships with members, and conduct minor procedures such as vaccinations, phlebotomy, and IV insertion under provider direction. Additionally, you will perform point-of-care testing, sample collection and processing, compile visit summaries, and handle administrative tasks like inventory and scheduling. Communication with clinical staff in a team-based model is essential, as is educating members on offerings and acute/chronic condition care. Triage of member calls for sick visits and maintenance of professional licenses and medical records are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Current New York Registered Nursing License
  • 2+ years’ experience as a practicing RN with regular experience in phlebotomy and IV placement
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel to and from member home visits within the assigned service area

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Atria pediatricians and advanced care practitioners to provide preventive, primary and urgent care to members in their home as well as in the institute
  • Provide highly personalized nursing care activities primarily for pediatric patients developing strong relationships with members
  • Perform minor procedures, such as vaccinations, phlebotomy, insertion of peripheral IV for medication administration as prescribed/ordered under a provider’s direction.
  • Perform point-of-care testing in the home such as rapid covid, flu, and strep testing
  • Perform sample collections and processing utilizing the lab equipment located at the institute
  • Compile visit summaries, complete forms and paperwork for members as needed
  • Flexibility to perform administrative and clerical tasks related to clinical practice such as inventorying medication, ordering supplies, or scheduling visits.
  • Communicate with primary care and specialty clinical staff in a team based model of care.
  • Provide education to members about atria member offerings such as medication kits and tools for telemedicine as well as about care for acute and chronic conditions i.e. teaching on how to use an albuterol inhaler.
  • Triage member calls for possible sick visits.
  • Maintenance & upkeep of Professional Licenses, Certifications, DEA certification, State requirements and National Certifying Agencies credentials
  • Documentation and appropriate maintenance of Medical Records for members
